Barton Snode was the assistant guard of the mayor in Ember. He was the guard that Lina and Doon told about the mayor's secret room and stealing habits. He answered only to the chief guard and Mayor Cole. In the movie he goes to the greenhouses because he believes that Lina is there due to Mrs. Murdos instructions. There is no revenge on Mrs. Murdo because Snode didn't find Lina and Doon at the greenhouses. Thanks god because Mrs. Murdo is real nice.
